A selection of chillies from India
India is the world’s biggest producer and exporter of chilli peppers, with them featuring heavily in its cuisine.
Some of the hottest chillies are grown in India like the ‘Naga Jolokia’ which is cultivated in the hilly terrain of Assam in Tezpur. Most households in India have hot, fresh, green chillies to hand, using them to flavour curries and dry dishes.
